THE THREE TREASURES OF TAI CHI
The
three treasures: Jing, Chi and Shen are
core themes in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Chi-Gung, Zen, Tai Chi, Yoga,
Tibetan Buddhism and Hawaiian Huna, African and Native American systems of
internal energy improvement. The three
treasures provide reference points for us during our practice.
JING=ESSENCE
JING-the essence of
your health condensed in the kidneys and sexuality. Cultivate personal sexual
fertility through honoring your sexual nature.
This is accomplished in our attitude and behavior toward sex. Tremendous
energy is released as we find peace with the sexual nature of life thereby raising our libidos. Sexual energy is
the root power in our bodies. When we
are ‘turned on’ tremendous release happens in our nervous systems. This provides the necessary energy for the
inner journeys of purification and transformation. From our Jing (the essence of our health
condensed in our sexual self) comes our Chi (Usable bio-energy) that courses
through our minds, bodies and fields.
The sensation and
substance of physical cum is the byproduct of a combination of inner nourishment. After all, this is the
longing that creates physical life.
Cultivating the essence of our health and the store of our cum energy builds tremendous inner power.
CHI=ENERGY
CHI-The usable
bio-energy of your body made up of electricity and magnetism that is then
consciously utilized to open up stuck areas and thereby join the aura into the
vast expanse of space and nature. We
begin to feel how nature is breathing through us.
Solution for creating chi=Gu Jing (Firm your jing) by connecting with Nature and living a healthier life our libido naturally raises. Increased sexual fertility that is then
primarily utilized for the health of your overall body rather than just for quick fix stimulations with the senses or our sexuality.
Chi is the energy coming
from shen that supports life. If the
frequency of our energy is chaotic and distorted then chi cannot accomplish its
purpose; to fuel psychological and physiological purification. Energy becomes spirit once it is
harmonized. Spiritual magnetism is the kind of energy we are all looking for.
We are looking to transform all energies into their higher spiritual vibration through harmonization thereby producing ether spirit magnetism.
USE YOUR FEAR
All negative emotion
can be traced back to fear. We tend to
not face fear but attempt to cringe away from it. This cannot work. We cannot create a denial illusion and expect
to skate away free from such ignorance.
Whatever is present is what’s present and if we desire a better life we have to face ourselves and change. This
is the energetic transmutation process we find in Tai Chi, Chinese acupuncture,
Zen and the internal energy systems of Shaolin Kung Fu. Go through your life. Take a trip to get away from it all. Simply drop everything. I’m not suggesting running away from
life. I’m suggesting a ‘trip to the
mountains’ to calm down and get perspective on who we are and how we live.
When we can see the
various energies of our lives functioning we can more easily add pure Spirit to
energy and watch the energies harmonize by The Spirit Touch. SHEN=SPIRIT
RELEASE YOUR FEARS AND THEREBY
INSPIRATION NATURALLY MANIFESTS IN OUR CONSCIUOS EXPERIENCE
There are places
within all creatures that are fearfully clinging. Do you have any
unresolved issues? Of course we all do and releasing them is the
way to discover great sources of energy and information we never knew we
had. No matter who or what we are facing let it all go. To do this we must become like clear space. It is apparently so
difficult for us to simply release and let everything go for a time. Much of what we fearfully hold is inaccessible
to our conscious self, hidden by a matrix of defense mechanisms. All of us are so insecure, so afraid.
Being stripped
of mind and body content we thereby reside in the transcendental place.
Clear
like space. Similar to being half awake
where all the realities are being heard and/or seen yet everything seems like a
dream state. Both our inner and outer
realities seem to be a dream and we are in some other place that is just watching and observing all the phenomena.
This is the Tai Chi state of mind…Einstein called it ‘resting wakefulness’.
This is not spacious without
precision; this spacious… resting…wakefulness is Omni precise… Every polarity of attention is given enough space to process. There is no polarity in space itself. Conscious sleeping is another way of understanding this special, yet quite ordinary, state of mind.
Our ‘aura’ of perception expands, quite naturally, into the vast expanse of nature.
“One feels as if one is dissolved and merged completely into nature”
Einstein
The technique is singular and simple?
EMPTY EVERYTHING
OUT/FORGET EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING! Yes,
free everything and everyone from your heart and mind and do it now, today. For pure inspiration to flood our souls, for
us to become pure conduits of inspiration we must repeatedly clean everything
out.
*Take out your own
trash! Begin scanning your inner
self. What are you thinking? What are others thinking about you? Forget it! What is your current relational
experience? Forget everyone. Just for now.
As if you were setting out on a journey never to return to anyone you know. We do this to be able to return to
everyone and everything with renewed resources.
Is
there a physical place in your body that you can pinpoint which is feeling out
of balance?
Is
there some feeling of psychic connection to someone or something that needs to
be given some space? The one, easiest
thing we could do for the creation of real solutions is denied by us. I mean that we all have such difficulty in
trusting life and letting our energetic/psychic worries all dissipate into space.
GRACE CAUSED PAIN FOR GAIN-
As we empty out everyone and
everything…That means every substance, every attachment and most importantly
every feeling. Just keep emptying…As
you do you will see pain fields and forms that you have been infected by for a
long time. COMPLETE
LIFE RE-ASSESMENT
When we are on a journey do we not stop to get our bearings now and then?
Everything stops; we may even turn the radio down to be able to concentrate better. We look at the map
objectively without all the dynamics that exist in us about where we were, where we are now and where we are going.
A
sober self-assessment is the only way to begin a self-session of personal transformation. There’s a saying that
goes “People don’t change”. Yes, in a
sense many of us continue to carry on the same head trips, poor
behaviors
etc. Yet, people do change. Simply, this is a historical fact.
How can we repeatedly redesign ourselves into new improved versions? Many
religions and enlightenment systems refer to the process of emptying everything
out and allowing the reception of good nourishments to fortify us from the
inside out. Therefore, let’s start with
the emptying. As a practicing experience.
With a little luck and diligent work we can add our names to the list of those who do change for the better.
Empty out your senses Empty out your centers Empty out your future Empty out your past
NO MATTER WHATEVER YOU’RE CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES THE #1 TAI CHI PRINCIPLE IS-
GROUND OUT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING NOW!
Rooted, stable…
Like a
stone chime suspended from west mountain Stand
like a mountain move like a great river.
Touch
and receive by the Divine opening creation for you…
Popping our personal bubbles causes our
ego’s to deflate occurs in every area of our person where we are hiding behind
defense mechanism, hang-ups and compulsions, etc.
The
echoes of all spiritual enlightenment traditions including Tai Chi are LET GO-TRUST
TRANSEND AND SPIRITUALLY JOURNEY
We must have faith that
we are supported in letting go without reserve; this is the miracle litmus test
of life. Can you trust? Just for today? Just for now?
Leave the world of your experience and go on a journey into the heart of pure Spirit.
In every tradition of
enlightenment the animating force of all life is Spirit. Energies are subject to Spirit. Actually when energy of perception matures
it becomes pure Spirit. Spirit is
compared to breath, air, fire, oil, and the elements. Mostly it is compared to breath and air. Why?
Because when ‘In the Spirit’ there is a unique air like and light feeling pervading the inner and outer body. Can
you remember the feeling of being inspired, happy and purposed? It is our responsibility to do our part in
tilling the universe, to go against that grain just causes us unnecessary trouble. Every creature has an
opportunity offered by nature. To protect and provide for all life forms.
This is the divine commission leading us to realizing our true selves. This is why in spiritual
traditions service is so important. It’s
the only thing that truly transforms the personality.
“PAIN IS THE BREAKING OF THE SHELL THAT ENCLOSES UNDERSTANDING”
Khalil Gibran
The philosophy of Tai Chi
is based on Taoism. The Taoist masters are profound masters of life holding a unique place in the holistic health sciences.
Here are some quotes from the bible of Taoism.
Visions
blind the eyes, sounds deafen the ears, racing and hunting madden the
mind.
Precious things lead one astray.
Therefore the sage is guided by what he feels and not by what he sees.
He lets go of that and chooses this.
Look, it cannot be seen – it is beyond form. Listen, it cannot be heard – it is beyond sound. Grasp, it cannot be held – it is intangible.
These three are indefinable, they are one. From above it is not bright;
From below it is not dark:
Unbroken thread beyond description. It returns to nothingness.
Form of the formless, Image of the imageless,
It is called indefinable and beyond imagination. Stand before it – there is no beginning.
Follow it and there is no end.
Stay with the Tao, Move with the present.
Knowing the ancient beginning is the essence of Tao.
Tai Chi has a
solution-Sung/Shoong… SHOONG
“Shoong means
“to relax, “to give up,” “to yield.” It is a term that has been adapted
and incorporated into the specialized terminology traditionally used by T’ai
Chi masters. It is said
that when the famous T’ai Chi master Yang, Chen-fu was training the late master
Master Yang reminded his student daily to “be shoong, be really, really shoong.” “If your are
not shoong, ” Master Yang would say, “Even just a little bit not shoong, you are not in the
stage of shoong. Your are then in the stage of a loser of T’ai Chi; you will be defeated.”
– Waysun Liao, The
Essence of T’ai Chi, 1995, p. 56 “Whole Body Relaxed: Quan
Shen Fang Song. The word fang means “to release,” and it
implies that relaxation is not merely the lack of tension. It is an activity. Quan shen fang
song is alive, alert relaxation. It means eliminating unnecessary tension, being supple
and alert to the environment. Relaxation is the first and most important principle of
qigong. It is often considered a system of qigong in itself.” (Tai
Chi is a system of qigong) as is Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
– Kenneth Cohen, The Way of Qigong, 1997, p 88. “The first level of stillness is
about being with yourself in order to know yourself. This is accomplished by being wide awake and aware as you deliberately relax into
yourself.
The idea is to consciously enter into a state wherein you temporarily suspend
everything
you think you know about who you are, including anything you have ever been
taught,
and simply be attentive to what’s going on right there where you are. You practice
being quiet, both physically and mentally, as you pay attention to the sensations in
your body, the various thoughts in your mind, and your current experience of
being
conscious and alive. You practice simple body-mind awareness, being conscious
of the moment you are now in, and thereby experience with clarity the energy of
you.
You consciously experience yourself as you actually are. In this way you open yourself
to a new, truer, less distorted experience of you and the world.”
– Erich Schiffmann, Yoga: The Spirit and Practice of Moving Into Stillness, 1996, p. 7.
What are the methods for us to calm down and center in?
Pain in any form is
meant to return us to The Source. Do we
have any hidden pain that we could reveal and welcome in some help for? This revealing self-analysis brings ones
attention entirely upon oneself. If we
feel our physical and psychological ‘hidden pains’ then they will not manifest
into poor circumstances. Tai Chi is
about harmonizing our energies so much so that polarities are merged into
oneness. When energy discovers its true nature it becomes Spirit. Think of it,
when we harmonize conflicting energies isn’t there a tremendous release. We feel lighter and more ethereal.
If we do not address
wherever we need help and introduce that help then we will break down in one
way or another and have to start all over again. We can see the signals of oncoming problems
as we are very sensitive to what life is speaking to us.
When small problems arise this is the time to resolve them. Rally all your resources
to meet situations fully at their first appearance.
A badly infected wound left unattended can spread to other areas of the body. In the same way when we feel
even the littlest ill feeling in our minds and body we must attend to the cleansing impeccably. Tai Chi is a form
of inner purification. More than just a system of exercises; Tai Chi is medicine for sickness.
The human mind and
emotion are out of control to say the least.
Look at human history. What have
we done to our lovely planet? Like rabid
animals the human family tears through time creating more and more havoc. Industry and technology have done nothing to
mature the human being. We are
interested in speed and production only; slowing down and stopping are not well
sought after practices for the human being.
Why? Every other animal in nature
cat naps; has times of extreme stillness…why not us to say the least. Better than that we can transcend and truly
understand and experience complexity, simplicity, and best of all mystery.
The
human being has a unique opportunity.
Remember Einstein’s
quote at the beginning of this document “I believe that which leads
people to
greatness in any endeavor is flight from everyday life, with its painful harshness
and wretched dreariness. This can be
compared to the city dweller that goes to the countryside for a weekend of rest
and relaxation.”
He made a direct
correlation between our ability to relax and ‘get away from it all’ to our ability to express creative genius.
Would we like to create through creative genius?
A living dead man…by Wang Che’s
man, Wang Che’s strange;
Rivers and clouds are a special happy harmony. His Taoist name is Chongyang, His joking name
is buried in the ground.
The entry of the
road to life is not forgotten, but it’s necessary to hang up a tablet. This is not to delude people for profit, But
to make them aware that assemblage is followed by dismissal. Living dead man, living dead man! Finding death in life is a good cause. In the grave is peace and quiet, true
emptiness and calm, Quite apart from the dust of the ordinary world. There is a free man roaming; Simple, natural,
he alone knows why. Minding the spirit, nurturing energy keeping true essence
complete, His material body temporarily mixes with the world.
Humanity can
spread the Way, the Way is close to humanity; The Way of humankind has always
been the highest cause. If you make the
dark clouds all recede, you free the mind-moon to shine on this complex world. Who knows this man in grave?
He goes along with how things are, neither artificial nor contrived. White clouds take him along
with wind and moon; Shedding material toils, he leaves the dust of the world.
ON SITTING-(Tai
Chi does include the practice of sitting meditation)
Sitting does
not mean physically sitting still with the eyes closed. This is artificial sitting. True sitting requires that the mind be
untiring as a mountain all the time, whatever you are doing, in all action and
repose.
Shut off the
four gates-eyes, ears, mouth, and nose-and so not let external scenes get inside. As long as there is the
slightest thought of motion or stillness, this is not what I call quiet sitting.
Those who can
sit quietly in the real sense may be physically present in the material world,
but their names are already in the ranks of the immortals. It is not necessary for them to call on
others, for the century of work of the saints and sages in the body is fulfilled, and they shed the shell to climb to reality; a pill of elixir is made, and the spirit roams throughout the universe.
ON OVERCOMING THE MIND
If the mind is
always calm and still, dark and silent, not seeing anything, indefinable, not
inside or outside, without a trace of thought, this is the settled mind, which
is not to be overcome. If the mind gets
excited at objects, falling all over it looking for heads and tails, this
is the disturbed mind, and should be quickly cut away. Do not indulge it and lit it go on, for it
will harm spiritual qualities and cause a loss of essential life. Whatever you are doing, always strive to
overcome perceptions, cognitions, and feelings, and you will have no afflictions.
ON REFINING THE NATURE
Putting your
nature in order is like tuning a stringed instrument. If the string is too tight it will snap, and
if there is too much soft metal it will bend.
When hard and soft metals are in balance, then the sword can be
cast. If you embody these two principles
in refining your nature, it will naturally become sublimated.
From Opening The
Dragons Gate-Translated by Thomas Clearly
Why is the contemplation of death so important in the teachings of spiritual enlightenment?
WHY
Ok, I’ll tell you, dissolve everything into spaciousness’s, forget everyu7one, everything, everywhere; especially your own concerns and merge back into the cosmic bliss from that action we discover the wellspring of automatic solution making pathways.
OK,
Why is love considered to be to the power of life in all enlightenment systems? Why do the mystics, sages, saints, gurus and shamans all experience ecstatic states?
Tai
Chi is directed toward this same experience. 1.
Gu Jing…This is the phrase meaning to build our roots. When you stand how stable are you? Our houses or apartments’ have ground wires connected to the electrical circuits that turn on our lights and heat our houses. Our minds and bodies need to be
‘grounded down’ as well. Every action or inaction that nourishes us grounds us.
The essence of this health is condensed in a super energy storage place; the groin.
- Invest the increased bio-energy from gu-jinging
into the body, mind and bones and psychic relationships. Rather than just spending it on some kind of overindulgence invest your energy well into yourself. From our own increased energy
we can thereby create good for ourselves and those in our lives. Purging blockages, re-integrating fearful
clinging and building up high quality energy. These are the proper investments of chi.
- Spiritually journey with the refined bio-energy. This is the element of Tai
Chi that is like the American Indian vision quest. We utilize our heightened sense of awareness
to move into spiritual clarity.
Spiritual clarity is like transcendence only it’s not just objectivity.
Why in the bible do
they speak of a type of ethereal fire above the head tops of the disciples when
The Holy Spirit comes to enter through these disciples to mankind?
The Halo’s are also present in so many traditions. This is because of some special change of
‘energy’ in the head. When feeling
inspired and lifted certainly the center top of the head comes into importance. In Tai Chi it is said “If you want to ride
the winds how about light and sensitive energy at the head tops.
Go beyond your comfort zone. Reveal the pain, disease, confusion, despair
etc…Within.
- Rock
- Breathe and
- Grieve…
- The above 1, 2, 3 The feeling of
strength…What do you feel like when you are relaxed, centered, tuned in,
turned on, calm, focused, connected with nature, connected with the cosmos, connected with space, connected
with the transcendent, connected with Deities, Celestial Spirits, Saints,
Mystics, shamans, mentors and friends…. A QUITTER
NEVER WINS AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS
A slower/stronger pulse TRANSEND AND SPIRITUALLY JOURNEY
We must have faith that

In every

Because when ‘In the Spirit’ there is a unique air like and light feeling pervading the inner and outer body. Can

spirited feeling at the head top guides all energetic interplays. A longer breathing pattern with improved ‘air’ quality
Whole body breathing
Complete absorption into Spirit, Nature and Energy so much so that a trance state ensues.
YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO GIVE UP OBVIOUS NEGATIVE PATTERNS IF YOU EXPECT TO IMPROVE YOUR ATTITUDE
ATTITUDE AND SPIRIT ARE THE SAME WORD!
GETTING TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER
THE SOLUTION TO LIFE=HEART-The word
courage is derived from a word meaning heart.
Having ‘heart’ is a phrase that has come to embody many of the good qualities we all desire. From attention
to our hearts, both physical and spiritual, great magnetic power is developed. With a relaxed attitude this
energy not only flows around us as is measured by bio-magnetic medical devices
but it also flows within us. Through
centering and internal bodily awareness some of that bio-magnetism builds in
the tissues of our bodies. The body in this sense is one big battery. Could you use better recharging skills?
CAN YOU STOMACH IT? DO YOU HAVE GUTS?
The belly is the secondary storage area for all the energies of our person. It is called the sea of chi in
Tai Chi. The meeting ground of the miracle streams is what I call it. Spirit, space, cosmos, shy, nature, earth.
These converge within us. As our
ears and eyes receive information and we process it, just like eating food the
essence of the information refines as it moves down. What is retained is absorbed to nourish our
entire person and the waste products go downward. The belly area is the final ‘digestion and
assimilation’ process and it occurs energetically. The refined essence of the belly then
condenses and stores in our sexuality.
Sexual essence is the bank account for our overall health that’s why there is such importance placed on sexual health in all the enlightenment
traditions.
THE BONES ARE THE CONDENSED BATTERIES OF OUR BODIES BEING BONE AND GROIN CENTERED WITH
YOUR ENERGETIC BANK ACCOUNT
THE BREATH IS THE TRANSLATION PORTAL FROM SPIRIT TO LIFE
BEING BREATH CENTERED FOR
SPIRITUAL/PHYSICAL LIFE SUPPORT FUEL…THE MAIN CONSIDERATION HERE IS AIR
QUALITY.
When something opens up inside you all of a sudden that opens up unknown
inner physiological spaces which call in fresh air as they come to life. It’s
like we have a million stuffy rooms
inside us with the windows closed to the rest of the rooms and we’re all shut
off from aspects of ourselves inside of us. What relational experiences do you
have that are ‘stuffy’? Like the cells
of our body receiving ‘fresh air’ ‘opening a window’ the same applies to the
larger cells of our bodies; our relationships with people, with nature.
Life will never be fine enough for us to finally relax. We must relax in the face of life and take it
as it comes.
